ikea.
ikea has to be one of the world's greatest stores and the as-is section is the best part of that wonderful establishment. on saturday my mom and i went to ikea to see what we could find. we found a few bits and necessities for ridiculously low prices, but nothing too great, but as we were searching the as-is section at the end of the store my mom found the most beautiful piece of furniture i have ever seen. it was a headboard and it was $10. seriously. $10. (there's nothing visibly wrong with it - i think maybe it was a floor display??). you just can't say no for $10. well, we picked that sucker right up and popped it on a cart, paid and went to the car. oh. whoops. this is where we realized our mistake. well, the car sure wasn't big enough for that lovely headboard. we had to call for backup and had david and my dad drive the 35 minutes out to ikea with the van to get it home. they were slightly reluctant, but i wasn't about to let my new item go, it fit in the van no problem and it looks wonderful in its new little home. the end.

what, what, what???? $10. amazing bargain hunting. It looks perfect with your duvet. I once got a headboard for $5 because it wasn't really the headboard, it was the footboard without a headboard, but I used it for a headboard.
That's some nice guys to drive to pick up your find. Did you take them out for ice cream?
Wow! $10! You're so thrifty! It looks so great!
