late.

i know i was supposed to write this yesterday, but it got busy and then we were so tired we went to bed at 8:30pm and didnt wake up until 9am today! anyway. the month of 'put togetherness' went pretty well, i really like the idea that i had a month to work on it and now i get to move on. i think that a lot of those things i did will keep going on into the next month and beyond, especially the haircut. (i am getting it later today and i think i am going to do this). well, for february i have decided that my goal will be...

'slow down'

its kinda hard to explain this one, because i dont mean it in the normal sense of slowing down. i walk slow, drive slow, dont really have a lot going on...but the things i do i tend to rush through. when i am on vacation i need to see and do everything and spend so much time taking pictures that i forget to actually experience it! when i do projects i tend to cut a lot of corners, because i want to see the final project. exhibit a:

these are some magnets, i copied the idea from Steph who made some amazingly cute ones for David's parents for Christmas. i was in such a rush to see what they would look like that i didnt wait for the glue to dry. (this was actually my second attempt, the first was even worse). now there is a big dark spot right in the middle where the magnet is attached. if i had just slowed down and paid more attention these would look a lot better. so, hopefully this month i will take the time to really enjoy what i am doing, to look twice and to make sure i am actually experiencing my life rather than just rushing through it.

Good advice coming from a young soul. Keep that thought up and you will enjoy life to the fullest by slowing down and enjoying it more.

Excellent plan on slowing down!! I love the magnets, we made some for Christmas. The trick with the glue is epoxy. Six min. from mixing to stuck solid.
